 In aid of fund-raising for the Oxfordshire Contingent for the World Scout Jamboree, the band Ashes of Steel (www.ashesofsteel.com) are planning a gig at Youlbury on Saturday 16th September. The band, is also looking for “support acts” to play on the night from the contingent! If you would like to put a set together, any length, and play at the gig then please get in contact with me. I need to know who you are, who you are playing with (or if your solo) and what instrument(s) you will be playing. You can send me an email on: ashesofsteel@hotmail.com
Sam Burgum (Thailand Contingent Member and member of Ashes of Steel) went on to say:
"We will be selling tickets for the gig as soon as the final running order is confirmed. We are not sure on price yet. There will also be an opportunity to buy refreshments on the night and an opportunity to stay the night in your own tents. But to be able to stay you may be subject to a further cost."
"All in all we aim to have a good time at the gig and raise some money at the same time. People who can buy tickets are members of the 2007 Contingent, their close friends and family, members of the Serbian Contingent, members of the Euro Jam contingent and members of the Thailand 2003 contingent. Please try and get as many people to buy tickets as possible as this means we can raise more money!"

Youlbury Scout Fellowship is inviting us all to a charity ball on Saturday 30 September 2006 from 8.00 p.m. to Midnight to raise money for the Oxfordshire World Jamboree Unit. The event, to be held at Youlbury Scout Camp site, a National Activity Centre, will be themed on the Oscars!
